I had a great time exploring Leh Market! It's a lively place with a variety of souvenir items, from local crafts to unique trinkets, perfect for taking a piece of Ladakh home with you. The market also offers fresh, local fruits that are definitely worth trying. The people were warm and friendly, adding to the overall fun and vibrant atmosphere. A must-visit for anyone in the area!

Very good market with amazing cafes and place to shop Connect with me on Instagram and YouTube for more updates - Travel Rogi
I had earlier visited Leh in 2003 and recently in Sept 2024. From my earlier mental pictures today's market has changed and grown phenomenally. The main plaza is vehicle free with unique ambience and quite lively with lot of tourists and locals. Apart from the shops where you can buy local souvenirs and also clothes, dry fruits, etc I also saw nearby villagers selling fresh vegetables and dried fruits like apricots on the pavements in the evenings (we were there for three days). Since I was out voted 1 to 2 (by my wife and daughter) we explored the by lanes behind the main market and found that the shops there were more locally authentic in terms of the goods and cheaper in terms of the prices and therefore worth the extra care required to watch the street surface while walking. Regards
Very Good place to have snacks and coffee. For shopping market is over priced
Leh's main market is a vibrant spot for shopping and experiencing local culture. It offers a range of items like Pashmina shawls, handicrafts, and souvenirs. The market also has cozy cafes serving Ladakhi, Tibetan, and Indian food. Evenings are especially lively, with the market bustling under soft lights and cool mountain air. Though prices can be a bit high, it's a great place for those looking to explore local traditions and enjoy a relaxed shopping experience.
Pedestrian plaza with shops selling everything from clothes to shawls to local artifacts. There is also a Tibetan Refugee market with lots of trinkets sold at a very reasonable rate. All shops have very reasonable rates. Honest people all around.
I visited Leh Market in a bit off season and in evening. So Maybe that's why I didn't find much crowd Here. But it was a beautiful place to just sit and connect with locals and natives. Tourists can also buy souvenirs from here. There are certain eateries as well where one can find authentic momos and other ladakhi food.
Amazing market with variety of local stuff available for shopping at reasonable price as a takeaways like souvenir. Highly recommended to visit local shops and promote them. (Recommendation: don't bargain) This are good and humble people with no intention to loot. Juley .
