The market street has a very unique local architecture. The road is paved with stone. On both sides are two rows of houses with Tibetan architecture. Along both sides of the street are many shops and delicious restaurants with reasonable prices. The people are gentle and simple.

You will find everything in this market starting from Tibetan food, ladakhi cuisine, and even north and south Indian food. People from different parts of India also come here to run shops taken on rent. Apart from food, you will find souvenir shops, clothing stores famous for Pashmina wool, Yak wool, Angora wool, silver ornaments and various other items. In fact, you will find a separate silver market here as Ladakhi people love to wear silver ornaments and a variety of stones. You will find ladies selling vegetables in front of the shops while sitting and knitting caps, socks, mufflers, scarfs and small toys. The market gets closed by 7:30 in winters, however during summers they close around 10:00 Ladakhi people are religious, and you will find people mostly following Buddhism, and Islam. There are various German Bakeries too, which are a must try. Tourists are sometimes looted for money while buying Pashmina products, therefore it's necessary that you have a previous knowledge about the quality and price or find a shop that sells you authentic goods at a reasonable and correct price. Rest if you love to see snowfall and snow covered mountains March possibly could be the best time, otherwise Leh tourism by default starts from April end or May first week. You can find wood fired pizzas here, also there are outlets of Nathus, and Karim's. And coming onto the Bank, you can find almost every Bank branch within the Leh Market. Overall, the place is sorted, and you only need to take care of the cold weather and the timings.

Nice cobbled stone market with general store, medical, airtell plus a number of stores for artifacts. They have placed benches to sit and relax, as it was winters there are no crowds at all..has some nice eateries but mostly on upper floors. Had a good walk and experienced the market place.

Nice and safe place to go for a walk and shopping. Lots of restaurants, cafe, souvenir shops. The price is good.

There's something for everyone--souvenir shops, cozy cafes, and even a Buddhist temple nearby adding to the charm. My only gripe? It can get crowded in the evenings, and navigating the narrow lanes took some patience. Also, double-check for authentic Pashmina, as some items felt overpriced. Pro tip: Visit in the late afternoon for the best light and vibe, and don't miss the momos at the local food stalls! A must-visit to soak up Ladakh's spirit.

Leh Market is beautiful and offers lots and lots of shops for clothes, traditional shawls jackets, souvenirs, restaurants, cafes, medical stores and lot more. You can easily spend 2 to 3 hours there

Great atmosphere. Do visit when you are in leh. Try to go here during late evening hours as the street lights here make the experience photo worthy..

Not much to see or shop here. But the Tibetan market is good to buy keychains, souvenirs etc. Good restaurant options as well. Doesn't take more than 15-20 mins to explore, as it's a small stretch. Parking is a chaos.
