I reside in Bangalore and was unfamiliar with the local area of Bhiwani. After discovering a salon online with excellent reviews and promotional videos, I was convinced that it was the ideal place for me to have my makeup done. Not being someone who frequents parlors or wears makeup regularly, I lacked knowledge about the necessary preparations before a makeup session. Therefore, I reached out to the salon via phone to inquire if any pre-treatments such as facials or facial hair removal were required. They assured me that no such preparations were necessary. On the day of my appointment, I had provided them with a deadline of 12 PM as the latest time by which I needed to be ready. However, the owner, who was responsible for the makeup, arrived late. In the meantime, her assistants attended to my hair. As I have short hair and desired a wavy look, I communicated this clearly, but they completely curled it, resulting in a much shorter appearance than desired. Prior to commencing the makeup, they insisted on facial treatments, despite my prior inquiry about this matter. My engagement makeup turned out to be subpar compared to a regular guest makeup, lacking elements such as blush and light eyeshadow, which was not the look I had requested and even provided a reference for. Unfortunately, due to the delayed start and extended time, I had no opportunity to request alterations. Within 45 minutes of completing the makeup, it began to break down and become flaky, even though I was in a room with air conditioning, and my event had just begun. Consequently, I had to rectify my makeup on my own and proceed. Although the salon boasts predominantly positive reviews, which influenced my decision to choose them, I was profoundly disappointed on my significant day. Perhaps others prioritize the establishment's grandeur and reputation over skills and service quality, but my experience was unsatisfactory, and I have no intention of returning to the salon in the future.
