I had a terrible experience at Belleza Kurishumoodu yesterday. I visit the salon when I am visiting my hometown and as always decided to avail the services. Called a day prior to book teh appointment and arrived on time. Was assigned to a professional called Deepthi. Threading: We started off with the threading service and I specifically called out areas she needs to be careful. Once the threading was done, in spite of repeated reminders I find myself looking in the mirror and seeing one of the eyebrows chipped out of shape. I try to show Deepthi and make her understand the issue however she's least bothered and is in a hurry to apply the gel and move on to upper lip threading. I tried to show her the mismatch again but she's least bothered. Realising its on no use, we move on to henna service. Henna Application: Had requested for Burgandy henna. Deepthi took me to the designated area and came back with the henna bowl. I looked at the contents and saw that the missing hasn't been proper mixed. It's lumpy at places. Asked her if she will be mixing it again before application and she didn't bother to respond. She started the application and I realized the shes just scaring the hair with the brush. Reminded her that I have grey hairs and hence I need it to be applied at the roots as well. Again she didn't like the suggestion and started dumping the lumps on my hair. By the time she was done, My forehead was covered in henna. I asked her how we'll do the facial now and she said we'll wipe off the forehead and do it. Came with 3 shower caps and covered the henna including my forehead and ears. De-Tan & Facial: Deepthi suggested a facial worth 3500/- which I had agreed to but seeing her approach and quality of the service, I was having second thoughts. Nevertheless, decided to go ahead with it. She took me to the cabin which had the AC blasting off at full speed. Having applied henna, I was already feeling chilly. Requested her to turn off the AC or move to another cabin. Answer - Cabins are occupied, AC can't be turned off, I'll cover you in a bed sheet. De-tan applied and she went off. I started feeling cold and getting a blocked nose. Called out to her. No answer. The professional in the next cabin heard me and called for her. By now with blocked nose, I told her I can't take the AC anymore and pleaded for it to be turned off which she did. Came in after 30 mins to remove the de-tan and started with the facial process. As expected, the cleansing, scrub, black head removal all were just for name sake. I don't think the creams even covered my entire face (forget the neck and shoulders). I was waiting to see the massage cream part and it turned out even worse than I expected. She was simply applying portions of the cream, taking water and moving it over my face as though applying facewash. No pressure being applied (I told her to increase the pressure but didn't see any difference) or a warmth on the face from the massage. The massage did not even last for 10 mins. The mask came on and AC was turned on again and she left. I waited for a long time but again started feeling icy cold. Called out for her, the next cabin professional came over. I asked her if its time to remove, she checked and said no, will take some more time. I requested her to turn off the AC which she did. After what seemed like ages, Deepthi came, peeled off the mask wiped the face, applied sunscreen and told me to come to the hair wash area. Belleza Owners: You used to have a good set of professionals (who used to provide really good service and were happy and dedicated to their assignments), are you trying to reduce the cost now that your business has flourished? If so removing the old non-malayee professionals and bringing in folks who are not professionals will in the long run bring down your business. Also at a time of using disposables, please avoid using the dirty linen proved to customers to change. Unable to write further as google doesn't allow.
